Walt Disney World Attraction Height Requirements

Family trips to Walt Disney World are so much fun, but there are things you need to know before you go. Children love dreaming about all of the rides they are going to go on when they get to the parks. Most of the attractions at the Disney parks are for everyone, but there are some Walt Disney World attraction height requirements that you should know about ahead of time.

Walt Disney World Attraction Height Requirements

If you have a young child who has their heart set on experiencing certain attractions, you really need to check out the height requirements ahead of time and then prepare your child, if necessary. The last thing you want on your trip is a child who is disappointed because they discovered at the last minute that they can’t ride something.

Do All Attractions Have Height Requirements?

No! In fact, most of the attractions at Walt Disney World can be enjoyed by everyone. Only a few rides in each park have a minimum height requirement, but they are often some of the most popular.

When in doubt, always check the Walt Disney World website!

Magic Kingdom Height Requirements

The following attractions at the Magic Kingdom have minimum height requirements. If you do not see an attraction listed, that means there is no height requirement.

32″ – Tomorrowland Speedway

35″ – Barnstormer

38″ – Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

40″ – Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

44″ – Space Mountain

48″ – Tron Lightcycle Run

54″ – Tomorrowland Speedway (alone)

Epcot Height Requirements

The following attractions at Epcot have minimum height requirements. If you do not see an attraction listed, that means there is no height requirement.

40″ – Mission Space (Green)

40″ – Soarin’

40″ – Test Track

42″ – Guardians of the Galaxy – Cosmic Rewind

44″ – Mission Space (Orange)

Hollywood Studios Height Requirements

The following attractions at Hollywood Studios have minimum height requirements. If you do not see an attraction listed, that means there is no height requirement.

32″ – Alien Swirling Saucers

38″ – Millennium Falcon Smugglers Run

38″ – Slinky Dog Dash

40″ – Rise of the Resistance

40″ – Star Tours

40″ – Tower of Terror

48″ – Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster

Walt Disney World Attraction Height Requirements for Hollywood Studios

Animal Kingdom Height Requirements

The following attractions at Animal Kingdom have minimum height requirements. If you do not see an attraction listed, that means there is no height requirement.

38″ – Kali River Rapids

40″ – Dinosaur

44″ – Avatar: Flight of Passage

44″ – Expedition Everest

Typhoon Lagoon Height Requirements

The following attractions at Typhoon Lagoon have minimum height requirements. Plus two have a maximum height limit. If you do not see an attraction listed, that means there is no height requirement.

48″ – Crush ‘n’ Gusher

48″ – Humunga Kowabunga

48″ & Under – Ketchakiddee Creek

60″ & Under – Bay Slides

Blizzard Beach Height Requirements

The following attractions at Blizzard Beach have minimum height requirements. Plus one has a maximum height limit. If you do not see an attraction listed, that means there is no height requirement.

32″ – Chairlift

48″ – Downhill Double Dipper

48″ – Slush Gusher

48″ – Summit Plummet

48″ & Under – Tike’s Peak

32″ Minimum

    1. These are the restrictions for riding at all. There are separate rules about when children can ride alone.

  1. This is really useful especially when the kids start crossing the first heights. You always are wondering ‘are they tall enough for this yet’.

    1. My boys are eight and they are now officially tall enough to ride everything except the Tomorrowland Speedway alone. So we don’t need to worry about it much anymore. I hope you find it helpful!

  2. I’m so excited for our next visit. My youngest will be over 44 inches and he’ll be able to ride so many more things than the last time we went! I will totally print this out and take it with us.
